Low 90's F during day, 70's F overnight, isolated thundershowers in the region but none reported in the coastal zone below the piedmont rise.
On site discussion with;
Dan Thomer: WDC

Colin Dawson: Colin Dawson RA
Masonry wall Reinforcing:
Dan prior to this meeting discussed masonry wall reinforcing with the masonry sub-contractor; placement of reinforcing has been inconsistent, and is suspect at all locations 1st floor walls, and 2nd floor lots 20 through 26 and lots 5 through 7.
Dan reports "John" his assistant observed reinforcement placement at walls lots 3 to 2, and 4 to 3, and will be onsite to observe reinforcement placement for all subsequent walls.
To provide additional lateral support for masonry walls, the epoxy anchor bolts required in the permit set to secure framing to masonry will be extended where possible and installed as through bolts with oversize galvanized fender bolts on the wall exterior.
Framing punch list lots 20 through 26:
Exterior strap ties 1st to 2nd floor panels, and gable panels in progress.
Wall panel to wall panel nailing in progress.
Wall panel sill plate bolts in progress.
Triple stud at triple joist on bearing wall (a few not done, stud may be installed at 90 deg to wall studs to clear in place electrical wire).
Top hung joist hangers at triple joist to masonry wall ledger, not done.
Top hung joist hangers at stair well double stud, not done.
5/8" type "X" drywall:
All drywall will be 5/8" type "X" for superior finish quality, the 1/2" drywall band at kitchen ceiling/garage wall will be backed-up with 5/8" drywall.
WDC requested and Colin Dawson RA approved 5/8" type "X" drywall to garage ceiling and delete drywall to garage roof void/house 2nd floor wall.

Masonry party wall complete 7-6, 6-5, 5-4 and 4-3 scaffold set.
Lot 20 through 26
Rough mechanicals in progress.
Framing punch list items, also discussed with Tom Heisner L&I;
- Install exterior strap ties 1st to 2nd floor wall panels at each 3rd stud
- Install exterior strap ties 2nd floor wall panel to front gable and end gable over garage, at each 3rd stud.
- Fully nail, shim and block, wall panel to wall panel throughout, including at outside corners and garage wall to house wall.
- Install jack studs at living room/kitchen opening header.
- Install triple stud at triple joist bearing on frame walls.
- Install top hung hangers at all mutiple joist locations including triple to ledger and at stairwell, solid block as previously noted where single joist is close to triple joist and use an oversize top hung hanger.
- Through bolt built-up joist beams.
- Epoxy anchor bolt front and rear walls, 1st and 2nd floor and garage walls to masonry wall,
- Epoxy anchor main and garage roof truss to masonry wall
- Check all sill plate to masonry foundation bolts, install all nut and washer tight, install epoxy anchor bolt where anchor bolts missing including within 12" from end of each panel and not less than 48" o.c.
- Garage to house wall is a 1hr rated wall, 5/8" type "X" gwb both sides, the gwb band at ceiling framing in kitchen and laundry was installed as 1/2" gwb. Overlay or replace with 5/8" type "X" and fire tape above ceiling.
- Drywall installation must include 5/8" type "X" at garage to kitchen, laundry, 2nd floor bedroom and 2nd floor bathroom, and on garage side including over the truss adjacent to frame house wall, and 1st truss bay underside of roof sheathing.
-Lot 24; 4" sanitary stack damaged above slab, cut out and replace.
